PUBLIC NOTICE CALLING FOR INSPECTION OF THE SUPPLEMENTARY (5) VALUATION ROLL (GV2018) AND LODGING OF OBJECTIONS.

Please note that the Supplementary Valuation Roll for the financial year 2022/2023 is open for public inspection from 31 August 2022 to 7 October 2022 at the address listed below and, on the website, www.joburg.org.za

Late objections will be treated as queries.

 

An invitation is hereby made in terms of Section 49(l)(a)(ii) read together with Section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so desires should lodge an objection with the Municipal Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period.

 

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such.

 

The forms for the lodging of objections are obtainable at the on the website www.joburg.org.za or at the address below.

 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the National State of Disaster, electronic objection submissions will be accepted. The completed objection forms should be emailed to valuationenquiries@joburg.org.za

 

NO LATE OBJECTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

 

The completed forms must be emailed or returned to the address below on or before 15:00 on 7 October 2022.

LATE OBJECTION AND SECTION 78 QUERY FORM FOR SUPPLEMENTARY (3) VALUATION ROLL (GV2018)

Please note that the supplementary valuation roll for the financial year 2020/2021 objection period officially closed on the 30th June 2021 at 15:00.

The Section 49 notification specifically indicated to customers that submission of objection should have been at the broadcasted 12 objection stations or within the objection period online at www.joburg.org.za as from 26 May 2021 to 30 June 2021 until 15:00.

It was also communicated that late objections will NOT be accepted.

However, late objections will be treated as queries. Customers should note that priority will be given to the objections received within the objection period and only thereafter will the queries be dealt with as a Section 78 query.

Section 78 queries will be printed in a Supplementary Valuation Roll later on.

Attached please find the query form to be completed and submitted to the following email to enable the Valuations team to deal with this as a Section 78.
